General Questions
Why can't I find certain clearance items on your site?
We only list products that are discounted 35% or more. Items with smaller discounts are filtered out to focus on the deepest deals. If you're looking for a specific item with less than 35% off, it won't appear in our listings.
What is a penny item?
Penny items are products that have been marked down to $0.01, typically at the end of their clearance cycle. These items are supposed to be removed from shelves but occasionally remain available. Store policies vary — some honor the price, others may refuse the sale.
How accurate is the pricing and stock information?
Data is updated multiple times daily, but retail inventory changes constantly. Prices and availability shown are estimates and may differ from what you find in-store. Always verify before making a special trip.
Why can't I find an item at my store?
Several reasons: the item may have sold out, been moved, returned to vendor, or the data may be outdated. Clearance items especially can sell quickly once discovered.
Search & Filters
How do I search for deals near me?
Use the "Filter by Radius" option in the filters menu, then click "Configure Map" to set your location. You can also filter by specific states, cities, or store numbers.
Can I save my filter settings?
Yes! Click "Save Filters" after setting your preferences. You can save multiple filter combinations and load them later from "Manage Filters".
Retailers & Products
Which stores do you track?
Currently: Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, Walgreens, and Tractor Supply. Each retailer has different data availability for inventory and locations.
How often do new deals appear?
New clearance items are added throughout the day as stores update their systems. Check the "Added" column or filter by "Last 24h" to see recent additions.
Accounts & Alerts
Do I need an account to use Rebel Savings?
No — accounts are completely optional. You can browse deals, filter by location, and save favorites without signing up. Accounts unlock cross-device sync and price drop alerts, but everything else works without one.
What do I get with a free account?
Two things: your saved deals sync across all your devices, and you can enable price drop alerts — we'll email you when a deal you've saved gets an even deeper discount (5+ percentage points off from where it was).
How do I sign in? Is there a password?
No password needed. Enter your email address and we'll send you a magic link. Click it and you're signed in. Your email is the only information we ever collect.
How do price drop alerts work?
Once signed in, you can turn on alerts for any deal you've saved. If that deal's discount improves by 5 or more percentage points, we'll send you an email from noreply@rebelsavings.com. Alerts are best-effort — delivery isn't guaranteed, and deal prices can change quickly, so always verify before heading to the store.
How do I turn off alerts or delete my account?
You can disable alerts for individual deals or turn them all off from the account modal in the app — no account deletion needed. To delete your account and all your data permanently, use the "Delete Account" option in that same modal, or email us at contact@rebelsavings.com.
Technical Issues
Why aren't my saved deals appearing?
If you're not signed in, saved deals are stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data, using incognito mode, or switching devices will clear them. If you sign in to a free account, your saved deals are synced to our database and will appear on any device you sign into.
The site isn't loading properly. What should I do?
Try: clearing your browser cache, disabling ad blockers, using a different browser, or checking if JavaScript is enabled.
Can I access this on my phone?
Yes, the site is fully mobile-responsive. For the best experience, use a modern mobile browser like Chrome or Safari.
Making Purchases
Can I buy items directly through Rebel Savings?
No, we don't sell products. Click the product links to visit the retailer's website, or visit the physical store location shown.
Should I call ahead before driving to a store?
For high-value items or long drives, calling ahead is recommended. However, some stores won't confirm clearance prices over the phone.
What if the store price doesn't match what's shown here?
Clearance prices can vary by location and change without notice. The prices shown are what we've detected, but stores have final say on actual pricing.
